Schwarzkopf
The history of the German company Schwarzkopf began in 1898, with a pharmacy founded by the Berlin chemist Hans Schwarzkopf. The owner of the shop could not even imagine that he would be the beginning of the legendary company for the production of hair products. Hans Schwarzkopf was unusually talented, which allowed him to make a lot of unique discoveries. Disgusted with harsh soaps, he created the world's first water-soluble powder shampoo in 1903, instantly becoming the most sought-after product in Germany.
In 1904, Schwarzkopf registered a trademark and began supplying shampoo to Russia and Holland.
In 1927, Hans Schwarzkopf created the world's first liquid shampoo. In 1933, Onakali, an alkali-free shampoo, was released.
In 1947, Schwarzkopf released two new products at once - the PolyColor hair dye and the perm, which does not require heating the hair to a high temperature.
In 1949, PolyColor hair dye was awarded the gold medal for the greatest invention in the hair product category.
In 1954, Schwarzkopf created the world's first hairspray Taft, which raised the company to a new crest of worldwide fame. In 1960, the long-term curling product and the Igora Royal series were created, and in 1969, the first Igora Tuning mousse paint.
In 1972, Schwarzkopf invented the first hair conditioner and a perm system that includes advice, tools, technology, and training.
In 1980, a freon-free aerosol was created, in 1988 - a series of Poly Soft Toner liquid paint, and in 1990 - a unique series of Poly Brillance.
In 1995 the Schwarzkopf company becomes part of the Henkel concern and enters a new stage of its development. Every year, Schwarzkopf is celebrated with outstanding inventions that are unmatched in the world. The success of Schwarzkopf is due to the desire to satisfy the needs of consumers and the constant improvement of its products, known in 65 countries around the world.
