MART STAMPING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Apply some paint to the plate.
2. Remove excess paint with a scraper. Hold the scraper at a 45-degree angle and move the scraper across the surface of the plate in a quick, firm motion.
Important: the pressure on the scraper should be moderate. Pressing too hard will not distribute the paint well over the selected pattern; pressing too lightly will not remove all the excess.
3. Take the stamp and with a rolling motion, without pressing hard, roll the stamp along the plate.
Important: the rolling motion only needs to be done once!
4. Now the design is on the stamp. At this stage, you can carefully remove unnecessary details of the design from the stamp with a toothpick, if necessary.
5. Using a rolling motion, without pressing hard, transfer the design from the stamp to the nail.
Tip: if you don’t like the result, you can remove the stamping using a sticky roller (the kind sold for removing dust from clothes) and try again.
6. Cover the nail with top coat.
TIPS FROM MART:
To clean the plate and die you will need:
Nail polish remover
Lint-free servers
Adhesive tape roller or tape
Clean the plates with lint-free wipes soaked in nail polish remover, a little acetone and no oils, or use gel polish remover.
It is better to clean the stamp with regular tape with the sticky side.
Let the plate dry after lapping, otherwise the pattern will “float”.
The plates must be cleaned before use.
Use paint with dense pigmentation.
Maintain the temperature in the room so that the paint does not dry out too quickly.
IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO TRANSFER THE DESIGN FROM THE PLATE TO THE NAIL, PAY ATTENTION TO THESE RECOMMENDATIONS:
• The most important thing is that the stamping plate has the correct notch depth - this is the key to the clarity of the design.
• If you are working with stamping paint, remember that it dries quickly, which means you only have 3 seconds to transfer the design from the plate to the nail. And the paint should be at room temperature, do not store it in the refrigerator or place it in the sun.
• Practice, don’t give up at the first failure, work quickly and the paint won’t have time to dry.
• Having trouble reprinting a drawing? Then, perhaps, you are pressing hard on the stamp. The stamp is quite soft and elastic, do not press on it, do it gently, with light pressure.
• The next rule is to roll! Apply the stamping stamp to the plate using rolling movements and transfer the design in one motion.
• Now everything seems to be fine, but you can’t get thin lines? Well, then get another stamp because the silicone stamp can overprint the fine lines. If you have different stamps, then the drawings will turn out perfect.
• Silicone stamp doesn't want to work? It is not advisable to wipe it with different liquids so that it does not become wet; it is better to use simple tape. Take the tape and use the sticky side to remove the remaining design from the stamp.
• How to wipe the plate now? Take gel polish or nail polish remover, apply it to a lint-free cloth and carefully wipe all the fine lines on the stamping plate, let it dry and rub the stamping plate until it shines, as soon as you clearly see your reflection, the plate is ready for use again.
