Wella
The German company Wella was founded in 1880. The founder of the brand was hairdresser Franz Stroer, who at that time turned 26 years old. Constantly traveling and studying the hairdressing art of different countries, Stroer gained enough experience to open his own enterprise, especially since in his head bold ideas were born one after another.
The first products to be released under the Wella brand were Stroer-designed wigs, hairpieces and braids made from natural hair. Wella's products instantly gained popularity among German hairdressers, and soon became known in neighboring countries.
In 1990, Franz Stroer created a tulle net for wigs, made of faux hair tulle, which allowed the wig to maintain its stable position on the owner's head for a long time. The Wella Hairnet has revolutionized the concept of wigs, and has become the number one product for hairdressers for a long time.
In mid-1940, Franz Stroer founded his own factory in Rottenkirchen, which then employed more than 250 employees. From that moment on, a completely new, rapid stage in the development of the brand began.
Today, Wella is one of the world's leading companies in the field of professional hair cosmetics and perfumes, the brand's products are deservedly popular and in high demand in 155 countries of the world, more than 25 thousand beauty salons and hairdressing salons are partners of the company. Wella specialists track the needs of professionals and the main fashion trends day after day, creating up to 30 innovative products annually, the composition of which is unique and maximally beneficial for the health of hair and scalp.
Over the past ten years, Wella has acquired well-known brands such as Escada Beaute and Max Mara, as well as signed a licensing agreement with the Gerry Weber brand, which has expanded its product range and increased the number of consumers around the world.
