Buffs, polishers and grinders

The nail buff is a special polishing file. It is usually rectangular in shape and made of a brittle material (plastic or wood). Outside, the block is covered with suede or silicone, on which a special abrasive spraying is applied. This file is designed for sanding both natural and artificial nails.

Types of buffs

The types of nail buffs depend on the abrasiveness. Abrasiveness determines the number of gritts - a kind of "pore" on the surface of the block. It depends on her for what purposes the buff will be used and for what type of nails it is suitable.

1. 60 to 80 grit. This buff is quite tough and is suitable for pedicure and artificial nails.
2. From 100 to 150 grit. It is used in the correction of extended nails and in pedicure. This coating easily removes all roughness and unevenness on the nails.
3. 150 to 240 grits. Can be used on natural and artificial nails.
4. From 300 grit and above. Suitable for polishing natural nails. Please note that for a thin nail plate, you should select a buff with a high level of gritts. For a home manicure, it is best to choose a nail buff up to 1000 grit.

How and for what it is used

Any nail buff has 2 uses: polish and shine. The better the nail plate is sanded, the smoother the varnish lays down. For home use, a buff with a suede surface is suitable. It is more durable than fabric and gently polishes the nail plate. In addition, various essential or vegetable oils can be poured onto a nail file with such a coating.

For nail professionals, it is recommended to buy a silicone coated buff. It is much easier to disinfect and will last much longer than a cloth buff.
